Thank you for using Waddle Huddle (“the App”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Waddle Huddle does not collect, store, use, or share any personal information.

• Collect or store precise or approximate location data
• Collect diagnostics or advertising data
• Use cookies or tracking technologies

Bluetooth and Location Access

Waddle Huddle uses Bluetooth and may request location permission solely to enable core app functionality, such as discovering and communicating with nearby devices.

• Bluetooth and location access are used in real time only
• No Bluetooth data or location data is collected, stored, logged, or transmitted
• All processing happens locally on your device
• Data is discarded immediately after use

Location permission is required by mobile operating systems in order to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices, even though the App does not determine or store your physical location.

Screen Time / Family Controls

Waddle Huddle uses Apple's Screen Time API (also known as Family Controls framework) exclusively for monitoring device usage to send you notifications while you're using your phone.

• This feature is used only for local monitoring to trigger timely notifications
• No usage data is collected, transmitted, or stored on any server
• All monitoring happens locally on your device
• Screen Time information remains completely private on your device

The Screen Time permission allows the App to be aware of when you're actively using your device, enabling it to send contextually relevant notifications. This data never leaves your device.

Analytics (from version 1.0.9)

Starting with version 1.0.9, Waddle Huddle sends entirely anonymous analytics data to PostHog, which acts as a data processor on our behalf.

• Analytics data is fully anonymous — no personal identifiers, device IDs, or location data are included
• This data is used solely for product development and improving the App experience
• No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising

Third-Party Services

Waddle Huddle uses the following third-party services that process data on our behalf. All data is anonymized.

• RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management
• PostHog (from version 1.0.9) — product analytics

Data Storage and Security

The App does not persist any user data on external servers or backend systems. Any temporary data required for functionality exists only in memory and is removed when the App is closed.

Children’s Privacy

Waddle Huddle does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since no user data is collected or stored, there is no risk of children’s data being processed.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
